Wonderful haiku John. A nice tension between L2 and L3...
Autumn blowing in....love that phrasing, John :)wishes, devika
yes, our summer is leaving again- I hate it.
'hairst' (the word for autumn) sounds a bit like the German 'herbst' , have noticed many such similarities between Scottish and German on yer blog john.
that is because scots (unlike the celtic rooted Gaelic) is a Germanic rooted language originating in Saxony moving in to the lowlands of scotland and becoming the nation's language in the 16th 17th centuries. now only being kept alive mainly in literary circles (although here and there still many words spoken) dailyjohn
... and the goldenrod waves an early flag.Fine one John! _m
