This one grabbed me. The "new" stumps are actually gone, dead, not-yet-reborn, but the mushrooms survive and endure, differently, less elegantly - perhaps eternally.Like roaches, I suppose, surrounded by babies and dishes. Yet, the stumps "gleam." Why?Thanks for sharing.
