This one leaves me with a lot of questions. I guess I'll have to write my own answers.
I agree with "magiceye". Poignant, indeed. A strong feeling of sadness, of violence.I like very much the alliteration thorns / torn-up and admire the technique and the prosody. It is a lesson for me.An excellent poem! Thank you for sharing, John.
