  1. Sad but true. I heard recently that we'd do better to celebrate a person's passing. Celebrate their life. in other words. Put the deceased in a bright yellow coffin was one option. Not all going around in mournful black is another.

    Difficult with a youngster though. That's the point.

  2. My mother-in-law has been serving breakfast for her husband and son who passed away some years ago, every morning.
    Her house has an altar where their memorial wooden tablets are put with a wooden gong and a bell.
    She spends some time of hers every day.

    Your haiku is about her way, too.
